Wind Waker Finished

I finally finished Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker three days ago. I was really wanting to finish before the Wii launch to be able to focus on Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The ending was ok, but seemed a little rushed and the game did get a little tedious after you get the Master Sword. All in all the game was a great part of the franchise, but wasn't super great. There is some replay value for me, but very little. I don't expect myself to play through a whole lot. I probally should have written this before the previous post, but whatever.

Behold the Power of the Wii!!!!!

Last night, my sister, her boyfriend, and myself went to get a Nintendo Wii. We started out about 22:00hs in front of the Knightdale SuperWal-Mart. There was already a decent line. It was freaking COLD! I was wolly underprepared for the cold. Earlier it was no where near as cold. A waited in line for about an hour, while my Sister Brenna and her boyfriend Gray went into Wal-Mart to look around. We found out that the Wal-Mart only had about 20 Wiis, I was about number 25 or so.
Gray suggested that Brenna and myself go to the Raleigh Super Wal-Mart to wait; sort of hedge our bets. We eventually decided to go. Gray stayed there and we went to Atlantic to wait in line there. The line was bigger at that Wal-Mart, but faint of heart never won fair Wii! We waited for about an hour and Gray called to inform us that there was only 20 Wiis and he was number 25 in line. Brenna went to pick him up and I waited in the numbing cold like an idiot. I got to know the people in line around me and then Lady Fate smiled upon me!
Some guy that had been waiting for 8 hours offered to sell his place for $80. We thought that was kind of lame, but the more I realized that none of us was getting a Wii, I asked the guy if he was serious. I got an affirmative and after a short trip to the ATM, I was number 7 of 20 to get a Wii. I know it seems fanboyish, but to quote Eric Cartman "I want my Wii!"
We waited forever for midnight, but the wait was well worth it. I got the console, Twilight Princess, Marvel Alliance, Excite Truck, an extra controller, and an extra Nunchuk. We all went back to my place, and opened the box of pure joy! Gray and I played Marvel Alliance for about an hour before he had to leave. It was awesome, I got lost a little because I've never played the Legends titles that follow the similar gameplay. Also, Gray had just played the game on XBox 360 two days before; he had the jump on me. So far the Wii has lived up to the hype. I look forward to playing Twilight Princess on Monday and delving more into the Wii. The graphics were awesome for Marvel Alliance, even on my regular non-HD (or even ED/SD) TV. I do wish that you could play at least music or MP3 on the console, but that is petty stuff. Nothing is perfect, but the Wii does seem to live up to the Revolution. May Nintendo change gaming once again! The King is dead, long live the King!

Que sera, sera!

Well, I haven't written in a LONG time, because of work. I've been super busy lately. I got Appendicitis last week and had my Appendix removed last Wednesday about 22:00hs. I was laid up for about two days and then they let me go home. I'm a lot better now, but somethings still hurt and I can't sleep on the side or stomach.
Aside from that, my wife left for Brasil yesterday and arrived in Recife early this morning. Her and my daughter went to visit family, I couldn't go for above reason. American lost one of her suitcases and now we're trying to find it. God willing, they will find it and send it to her. That suitcase has all of her clothes! Aaliyah, our daughter, seems to be doing ok around her family there. Aaliyah is only about two years old and has never been to see her family in BRasil before. They are staying a month and I'm going to really miss them. Quanta saudade, minhas lindas! Deus lhes protege! Amo voces com tudo!
